off to batangas. AGAIN.

ya, you saw that right. AGAIN. but thankfully, not to the same location in Batangas as before. 'coz i totally wouldn't come. but there ARE a lot of reasons why i wouldn't come.

- my sister is not coming since she has finals the next day and needs the time to study.

- i am tired of the beach. haha. senseless huh?

- i DO NOT want to be as dark as the night sky! especially since classes are nearing.

- i will get bored there.

but, all of these i proved wrong. but yeah, i did get a bit tanned, but who cares? anyway, here's what happened in our escapade at laiya, batangas.

THE NIGHT BEFORE:

m'parents fetched me from grandma's, we attended mass at san beda, then went home. but, the big deal was, it was raining. cats and dogs. so m'parents (shortcut 4 'my parents'!) had second thoughts on continuing the outing the next day. no, we weren't going by ourselves. m'parents former office mates from pal-slash-friends (adults have lots of friends. which i can't understand.) were coming with us. so call call call. turns out, it wasn't raining in laiya. the weather was perfectly fine there. so, problem solved.

THE NEXT DAY:

mother woke me at 4.30am. ugh. is there no justice in this world? i felt like i was going to school. seriously. so i took a bath (basically to wake my senses and soothe my frazzled nerves. haha.), had breakfast, and went directly to the car. somehow i managed to carry some of the stuff. good thing i packed my stuff the night before. of which, i still hadn't unpacked my stuff from my stay at grandma's. anyway, mother told me that the meeting place will be the nearest shell gas station at SLEX. when we arrived, as usual, chika-chika. all the time, i just stayed in the car. once all cars were there, road trip! SLEX-Calamba exit (i think.) -STAR tollway-lipa-laiya. we passed the laiya coco grove, where we stayed last summer. then, finally, i was able to stand firmly on the ground. haha. but not before we got lost and all that. long story. anyway, once the cars were safely ensconced, we again boarded another mode of transportation. this time, a small boat. one boat was for the bags and the food, another was for the passengers. that was at about quarter after 10. a short ride and we arrived at the place. we were the only ones in the place! heaven. eat eat eating time! i like, ate with my bare hands because i can't find plastic utensils (were there even utensils brought?). haha. the effect of laziness. after eating, i just looked for a spot where i can read (good thing i brought books. the only catch? both were boring.) and not be disturbed by anyone. mother was forcing me to go talk to the three daughters of ninang del's cousin (i think.) and i just couldn't bring myself to do it because i AM NOT a social person. i don't even know how to start a conversation with people i barely know! so i just ignored my mom. haha. evil me. after reading a good chapter or two, i changed into my swimsuit and decided to go for a dip. the water was perfect-not too cold, not too warm. i must have enjoyed my dip, 'coz i didn't even realize that it was noon. good thing i didn't burn. haha. at about 5, a boat fetched us from the island. it took 3 trips, back and forth, for all of us to go back to the main island. we just ate dinner at SLEX. arrived in manila at past ten in the evening.

i totally enjoyed, even if i did burn. just a little. =D

mother's day: not so perfect as i thought it would be.

i always thought that special occasions would go just as planned. this year's mother's day, was, well, should i say... perfectly planned.

but i thought wrong.

the day started out just like an ordinary day. i woke up, went downstairs, greeted my mom, and had breakfast. i even watched tv. then, next thing i knew, my mom was calling me for lunch. after lunch, my sister and i even raced to the bathroom, to take a bath. i know, we're so pathetic. haha. but she was faster, so i just gave in (do i have a choice?).

since it's sunday, we first went to church at st. jerome in alabang. shortly after the mass began, i was already pissed. people were passing by us just like we were stone statues there. they didn't even bother to say 'excuse me'. didn't they realize that mass is ongoing?! at first, i just let them through. but i have to admit, i am really short-tempered. at times. and i am not in a good mood that time. the second time, i pretended that i didn't hear them and i didn't move. haha. i am really bad! but it's really annoying and irritating. i couldn't focus on the mass at hand. grrrr.

after what seemed like ages, the mass ended. we officially celebrated mother's day at red crab, at atc. gawd, the line in the parking ticket booth was unmistakable. it is really mother's day. thankfully, eventhough mommy hadn't made reservations, we still snagged a table. supposedly, grandma will join us there. we like, waited for half an hour. and she's only living in alabang hills! but due to limited parking space, she just called my mom to tell her that she's heading home now because she couldn't find a parking space.

but, the healing forces of crabs soothed my nerves. the entire meal was delicio-so!! mmm.

and, as i think of that day, it wasn't so bad after all. =D

batangas beach trip.

spent the labor day weekend at matabungkay, batangas. unfortunately, daddy didn't want to go so it was only the three of us w/ grandma and the rest. went there yesterday at around noon so we couldn't swim 'coz the sun was scorchingly hot! there's 99.9% of suffering from skin cancer. haha. kidding. i just couldn't fathom the heat. so instead, after checking in and bringing our stuff to our rooms (we stayed in the resort of royale tagaytay), we had lunch at the clubhouse. after eating, my sis, cuzins, and i checked out the beach. it was full of seaweeds, maybe because it was already low tide, but the water's fine. at around three, i decided to go to the beach, in the hopes that the sun's not that bright na. so i went to the sea, but because of the low tide, spent about half an hour just wading through the shallow water until i reached the breakwater, where it's kinda deep na.

kanina naman, we rented a balsa, a kind of raft wherein there's a table and chairs and a small dressing room. it'll take you to the swimming area, where there's no rocks or seaweeds. even rented a small boat w/ pedals, yung parang bike. it was really hard and tiring pedalling, so we just took turns.

we were only staying overnight so we also left at around noon too.

it was really a lot of fun, though hindi na pantay kulay ko! hope i can go to the beach again this summer. =D
